And welcome to the 'about me' section.

I'm Claire Chadwick, a creative full time photographer  and digital artist.

I fell in love with photography 13 years ago. I was handed a camera and asked to help out a local band who wanted some photos from an observers perspective.

Seeing the raw emotions from both the band and the crowd come to life in the images inspired me, I was hooked!

After that night my whole world changed. I invested in a camera taking photos of everything and anything. Researching and learning as much as could. I roped in family and friends to use as 'guinea pigs', doing more and more work for local bands and venues. Gaining the skill, experience and confidence I needed to finally bite the bullet and go full time.

About 3 years into my journey, a friend introduced me to Adobe Photoshop. A programme where I could combine my love of photography with my love of art. and yet again, I was instantly hooked. With help from friends, online lessons (and a hell of a lot of practice) I felt like I had finally found my calling, my career path.

Although I am primarily based in my beautiful home town of York, I have travelled all over the country with my camera in hand. Going as far a Llangollen to shoot a wedding, Birmingham for band photography and the Cairngorms for wildlife and landscape photography.

I love my job and the people I have met through it and, I feel blessed to be able to do something I love for a living.
